Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actress. She is most famous for her character Skyler White on the AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student in Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio and she continued her interest in performing on theatre. She attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre through Northwestern University. Anna was employed in the Chicago theatre for a number of years before attempting TV and movie roles. Anna was selected to portray Arden on Down the Shore in the 29-episode show Down the Shore. At the beginning of 1990, Anna was a frequent actor in both film and TV including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood that was shot between 2000 and 2001. In 2008, she was cast in the role of Skyler on Breaking Bad. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed film Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio series that was released that will air in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and final break-up echoes the end of Walter White's life.
